How
to move a card with the force of your mind
The magic trick
The magician will show the audience how to make a single card in the
middle of the deck to move towards the top without touching it. The
audience will see the magician holding the card deck and, while the
magician does not touch any card in the desk, one of the cards moves
to the top.
How to perform this trick
The magician will need to show the deck of cards on his hand to
the audience. Then, while the magician slowly moves the fingers
of his other had, one of the cards is moved to the top of the deck.
The magician then pushes the card back in the deck ad repeats the
trick.
The secret
The magician performs the trick by simply placing three prepared
cards in the middle of the deck. Two of these cards have been cut
halfway through them. Then a rubber band with a knot in each end
is used to connect these two cards. The third card is place between
the first two cards. When you push the third card downwards, it
will be pushed back upwards by the rubber band.
